HTTP 402 "Payment Required" sat unused for thirty years. x402 finally gives it a body. maginary's api is now x402-native on Base mainnet: an agent with a wallet and no account hits generate, gets a 402 priced for that exact prompt, signs a USDC transfer, retries, and gets its image. the wallet is the account. here's the flow, the numbers, and the code.
